The name

What DharmKriya means

DHARMA · SACRED DUTY + KRIYA · THE DOING

Dharma (धर्म) is righteousness, the sacred duty, what is rightly owed and rightly done. Kriya (क्रिया) is the performing of it: the rite, the act, the doing itself. Put together they name not a path and not a destination but the deed, the sacred act carried out well. That is the older idea: in the Sanskrit texts dharma is not something you profess, it is something you do.

That is why one name holds everything this platform will ever do. A shraddha for your father, a Rudrabhishek booked from another city, the Ganga aarti in your name, a kundli read before a wedding: these are not five products. They are five sacred acts, and a person arrives carrying only their shraddha and the need to see the rite done rightly. DharmKriya exists to see it done.

Where we come from

The journey so far

One idea, carried from a Lucknow summer to a Kolkata autumn and onward: the community is the most reliable record of its own rites.

2025

Bada Mangal, Lucknow

Our first platform, BadaMangal.com, mapped over a thousand community bhandaras in a single season. It was populated not by a curation team but by the community itself, forwarding one WhatsApp photo of a poster at a time. That taught us the thing the whole platform is built on: the people at a rite are the most reliable record of it.

2026

DharmKriya is born

We rebuilt the same trust machinery, this time city-aware, and named it for the sacred act rather than one festival. Kolkata's Durga Puja became the flagship, over three hundred pandals live at launch, with Delhi and Bengaluru alongside. Puja booking with verified pandits opened everywhere in the country at the same time.

Every rite, done rightly

The name means the sacred act done well, not one festival and not one season. A new city opens only when there are priests and committees there who will hold us to our word. We would rather show you a city than announce one.

Book a puja with a verified pandit: Rudrabhishek, Satyanarayan katha, griha pravesh and more, performed at your home, online, or at a ghat, anywhere in India.
Shraddh at Haridwar: Tarpan, pind daan and the full karma performed with a true sankalp at a holy tirth. Join online and watch every offering live, keeping the recording, or come in person.
Live pandal tracking: Durga Puja pandals mapped live and verified by the community. Maps, timings, routes and live status stay free and are never behind a login.
Jyotish: A free janam kundli, the daily panchang, kundli matching and more, read the traditional way.

Dakshina, samagri and our fee are quoted together as one number before you book. No add-ons revealed at the end, and booking takes no payment until a human confirms your sankalp.

Every pandit is empanelled and verified before a single booking reaches them, so the person performing your rite is real, named, and accountable.

Devotion first, never spam

We do not sell your details or drown you in notifications. The free surfaces stay free, and you hear from us about your booking, not to be marketed at.

It is how we pay for the mission. What we earn from convenience, we turn into annadaan (feeding the needy) across India, free, for as many festivals as we can reach.

We started with badamangal.com, a free platform for the big Tuesdays of seva. It proved something simple: people will show up for devotion when you remove every obstacle and ask nothing back. That was one festival, in one tradition. This company is the same promise, made to the whole calendar and the whole country. Not one Tuesday. Every day.

We measure ourselves in families served and meals given, not only in revenue. Every rupee of margin is a step toward the next bhandara.

Free where faith lives

Tracking pandals, the panchang, aartis, live darshan, the festival calendar: free, always. We charge only for real service we render, a pandit's time, a booking we fulfil, never for access to devotion itself.

Never exploit shraddha

No fear-selling, no invented doshas, no fake urgency. A devotee's faith is sacred; we are its servant, not its salesman.

Truth over hype

We show real data or we show nothing. No invented numbers, no placeholder pretending to be real, no contact detail we cannot stand behind. If we do not know, we say so.
