The rite
About this puja
A traditional Rudrabhishek performed by verified pandits, for health, peace, and removal of obstacles.
Rudrabhishek is the ceremonial bathing of the Shiva Linga while the Rudram is chanted, honouring Shiva in his Rudra aspect. Each libation, whether water, milk, honey, or ghee, is offered with mantras that are believed to dissolve negativity and draw the grace of the Lord. It is among the most revered of Shaiva rites, performed for health, prosperity, and the removal of long-standing obstacles.

Questions devotees ask
Straight answers to the handful of things that actually decide a booking.
A verified pandit performs Rudrabhishek at Har Ki Pauri, Haridwar, following the vidhi set out on this page, step by step. Your name and gotra are spoken in the sankalp at the start, and the rite is completed in full whether you attend in person or book online. If you book online, the pandit performs it at the ghat in your name, you watch it live, and the recording is sent to you afterwards. When you choose a slot and begin payment it is held for you for fifteen minutes, so nobody else can take it while you finish.
You choose the pandit yourself from a list of verified, empanelled pandits, and the rite follows the vidhi set out on this page, step by step, with your name and gotra spoken in the sankalp. You pick the exact pandit and the time, nobody is substituted, and if the pandit does not appear the booking is refunded in full without you having to ask.
Ask the eldest person in your family first, because it is usually remembered even when it is never written down. If nobody knows it, the Shastras permit you to take Kashyap gotra, and a great many families do exactly that. Tick the box on the form and the pandit will use the Kashyap convention. It does not weaken the sankalp and it will not hold up your booking.
Need to cancel, reschedule or change something? Reach us from your booking and our team helps you personally. If the pandit cancels or does not appear you get the full amount back, and finding you someone else is our problem, not yours.
Most of your payment goes directly to Pandit Ji: his dakshina for performing the puja, the cost of the samagri, and any arrangements made for the day. A smaller portion is our platform fee, which covers running and maintaining the app, paying our team, and payment gateway charges. You have already paid in full for your puja, so anything more you wish to give Pandit Ji is entirely your choice.
