Meaning in English
This aarti hails Shiva as Omkara, the primal sound, joined with Parvati as half of his form, and one with Brahma and Vishnu. It contemplates his many faces and arms, his garlands of beads and skulls, the tiger-skin and the ash, the trident and the water-pot, and names him maker, sustainer and dissolver of the world. It ends with the promise that whoever sings the aarti of the lord of the three qualities gains peace and well-being.
